Bathing Elephants

I have never seen these Elephants in Artis Zoo (Amsterdam) this happy. I filmed them after they were hosed down by their keepers.
Artis is an historical Zoo and they are very slow in modernizing the way they keep animals. They say because of lack of space and money but I think they should learn to prioritize. It’s a crime that the Elephants have as much space as the Pelicans.

Every time I go there I’m embarrassed. I shouldn’t support it. But my kids make me ignore my principles on some issues (and more aware on others).
