Like the architect intended

This is my first Lumiere. Somewhat after the hype but the moment didn’t present itself any sooner.
I’ve seen about 30 or so Lumieres and I got the feeling that people take the best minute (or less) out of many.
So I intended to make a statement and be even more true to the Lumiere and would really show the moment I hit the record button to the moment it reached the one minute. Film was expensive those days.
But like anyone else I would record more and make a directors cut and let people decide which one would be the best, expecting that would be the directors cut. But when I looked at the footage I had to conclude the first minute is it. So I’m happy to be true to Lumiere and at the same time deliver the dc.

Rules of Lumiere:
* 60 seconds max.
* Fixed camera
* No audio
* No zoom
* No edit
* No effects

    Hi Erik,
    I like this one very much.
    Trying to understand exactly what it is that is happening is really fun, and works very nice in this lumiere style.
    Personally if it were free style i think i would crop it horizontally as you made in the static photo here. :-)

    Hi Erik

    I am a recent convert to Lumiere’s and I must tell you that this is one of the best!

    I agree with you about staying true to the Lumiere’s idea of one minute exactly. For both of mine, I hit start, timed it out on the camcorder and at the one minute mark hit stop.

    I’m looking forward to making many more and also seeing more of yours.
